Solidarity! strives to create a safe-space for all people. We wish to create a space that is as free from all forms of oppression as possible. Solidarity! does not tolerate oppression based on class, race, gender, sexuality, species, age, ability, size religion, and ethnicity or documentation status.
Any behavior that is not respectful of other people and/or our space will be met with any of the following responses:
- Discussion about problematic behavior
- Asking visitors to alter their behavior
- Asking visitors to leave temporarily
- Asking visitors to leave permanently
Aside from situation that elicit an immediate response from volunteers, all responses shall b mediated and conducted in a respectful manner. Solidarity! strives to resolve conflicts by following the model of restorative justice. This requires all parties to play an active role in the resolution.
All decisions will be made by Solidarity volunteers, either individuals or as a collective, depending on the nature of the situation. Visitors and volunteers should always feel free to bring concerns to Solidarity!’s general monthly meeting.
